To provide an accurate fixed-price quote, You Moving need the volume of goods (the number of rooms and any large items like pianos), access details for both properties (e.g., parking restrictions, stairs, or lifts), and the total distance of the move. You should also mention if you require additional services such as professional packing, furniture dismantling/reassembly, or temporary storage. Providing a full inventory or booking a video survey is the best way to avoid "hidden" costs on moving day.

• Do I need to be present?
Yes, it is highly recommended that you or a trusted representative are present at both the start and end of the move. You will need to sign off on the inventory, provide access to the property, and show the team exactly which items are staying or going. Being there also allows you to manage last-minute details like taking final meter readings and handing over the keys to the new owners by the typical 1 PM to 2 PM deadline.
